That Thing Called Tadhana

That Thing Called Tadhana (That Thing Called Meant To Be) is probably one of the best romantic movies of the year. It is a story about getting over a love that's lost, meeting a new kind of love in an unlikely place, and accepting the reality of what is and what is not meant to be.

The movie quoted a line from F.Scott Fitzgerald's The Sensible Thing, "There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice."

This quote has been the main plot of the story. If you think about it, there are many kinds of loves - unconditional, platonic, romantic, friendship and many more. That Thing Called Tadhana is a very realistic movie about heartaches, broken relationships and the art of letting go. Love has its lessons. We either learn from it or let history repeat itself.  I seldom recommend local films but I absolutely think that this is a film worth watching.

Thermae Romae

Thermae Romae is a comedy film starring Hiroshi Abe. It is about an architect from the Ancient Roman Empire who was magically transported to future Japan by some unknown vortex. Japan is where he got his ideas for building Roman baths.

This hilarious comedy is a very unique tale of time traveling which highlights the amazing bath culture of Japan. Foreigners who would want to travel to Japan may find this movie interesting. This movie is for children and adults alike.
